Job description

Hiring Medical Assistants for assignments with Sacramento CountyOverviewWork in a detention/correctional facility, performs a wide variety of MA duties, including hands-on care, and assisting them in follow-up care, or duties as assigned.Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MA
• 4 years preferred
• Experience in treatment care with some of the following: addiction/detox, psych, infectious disease, wound care
• Knowledge of chronic conditions such as diabetes and asthma are beneficial

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association Provider or American Red Cross (with AED)
• Work experience in Correctional/Detention setting is preferred
• Candidates must have good to excellent computer knowledge and skills utilizing an electronic medical record system
• Reliability and positivity is greatly appreciated!

Locations:

• Downtown Sac
• Southern Elk Grove

Shifts:

• Swing: 2:30pm-11pm
• Possibly some weekends

All candidates will train on AM Shift on weekdays first.Equal Opportunity Employer

Expected salary

$22 – 26 per hour
