This fast-paced, team-focused, and dynamic position is responsible for coordinating the interviewing and hiring efforts company wide. The Hiring Specialist position is a great entry level position for individuals that are excited to pursue a career in the HR field. CAG does not require any prior HR experience (though it is preferred) as we are willing to train those who have a strong passion for assisting employees and department managers.Compensation:Starting at $25 an hourJob Duties (include but are not limited to):Processing applicants by: reviewing applications, conducting phone-screening interviews, coordinating and conducting in-person interviews, submitting background checks, and completing reference checksAbility to review and manage high volumes of applications efficiently within our Applicant Tracking System (in low periods anywhere from >100 applications, in high periods 500+ applications).Comfortable professionally communicating with applicants and department managers and maintaining timely responses to emails (approximately 100+ emails daily) and by phone callAbility to take on additional projects as needed and multitask with recruiting responsibilitiesEfficiently and effectively fill open positions throughout the companyCollaborating with management to determine staffing needs and create job postings based on the needs of that departmentPlacing ads to approved external recruiting sitesMaking recommendations to company hiring managersFollowing up on the interview process status as needed with both applicants and department managersFollowing up with new hires to determine how they are settling into their new roleStaying current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practicesDiscretion and safeguarding of all confidential informationTraveling between the CAG locations as neededOther duties as assignedQualities needed to succeed include:Hardworking and a go-getterAbility to work effectively as a team memberAbility to work independently without direct supervisionExcellent organization and communication (written and verbal) skills with a strong attention to detailAbility to adapt well to changing priorities in a fast paced environmentNatural ability to build rapport while maintaining a strong sense of professionalismGreat time management capabilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility/adaptabilityAbility to apply critical thinking skills and exercise sound judgementAbility to effectively evaluate and select candidates for progression in the recruiting processRequirements:Must be able to work flexible hoursType 45+ WPMHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredMust have held a valid driver’s license for at least 1 yearMust be at least 18 years of age to be consideredHours:Monday through Friday with flexible hours between 7:00am-8:00pm. * Saturday from 8:00am-2:00pm or 9:00am-3:00pm (once a month).This is a full-time position.CAG is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
