Job Description:Hiring substitute teachers for Local Catholic School SystemStarting Salary: $180 per dayDuties include but are not limited to:
- Following lesson plans provided by the Teacher
- Managing the classroom effectively
- Adapting teaching methods to fit the needs of students
- Supervising students in and out of the classroom
- Providing in-class and at-home assignments based on the available lesson plan
- Long-term subs may create lesson plans, assign grades and/or participate in parent-teacher conferences.
Qualifications:
- Education Experience
- Minimum of 60 college credits
- 2.0 or Higher Grade Point Average
- Can pass a criminal background check through the Diocese of St. Pete
- Are legally registered to work in the USA
Do I need to be Catholic to sub at a Catholic School?No! Our school partners are looking for excellent subs who are interested in working in a safe, supportive environment with motivated students. To be a right-fit substitute, you will be asked to have a basic understanding and be respectful of Catholic school culture and practices.Will I need to have any special training? Yes. In addition to the mandatory pre-hire training for all substitute teachers, applicants will complete one additional class to be qualified to substitute with our Catholic school partners.What are the benefits of substituting in a Catholic School environment?
