Our client in the aviation industry is seeking an HR and Office Administrator to join their team. In this exciting opportunity, you will be an integral part of the team contributing to policy development, ensuring regulatory alignment and supporting overall human resources initiatives.Job Title: HR and Office Administrator
Location: Richmond, B.C. (Hybrid position)
Pay Range: $70k to $90k per yearWhat’s the Job?
- Acting as the first point of contact for responding to all employee and human resource inquiries, escalating matters to appropriate team members as required.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to assess hiring needs.
- Assist with the recruitment process by posting job descriptions/ advertisements, scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communication, and assisting with job offers and onboarding. Coordinating and facilitating the successful onboarding of new employees including processing new employee documentation and maintaining accurate employee files.
- Assist with the development, delivery and verification of employee training programs and a learning management system to ensure the employee qualifications meet compliance requirements, enhance employee skills and support career progression.
- Accurately manage and maintain all employee files and organization charts. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Prepares waybills, shipping vouchers and ensures shipment of overnight parcels (FedEx, Purolator, UPS, etc.).
- Ensures inventory on office supplies and materials are maintained and managed appropriately. Orders office and kitchen provisions on a timely basis to ensure cleanliness, orderliness and reports or responds to any maintenance needs.
- Opens and distributes incoming mail and prepares and drops off outgoing mail at the end of each day (excludes mail for Human Resources) and posting letters, parcels when needed by other departments via Canada Post.
- Orders supplies for office equipment as needed.
What’s Needed?
- Post-secondary education in business, Human Resources or related field;
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an HR or administrative role;
- Knowledge of HR functions including but not limited to recruitment, benefits and onboarding;
- Experience in building relationships with both internal and external customers;
- Experience with preparing recruitment materials (job postings, Interview guides, offer letters, etc.);
- Experience with a variety of tools and software’s including HRIS and Learning Management systems, as well as Microsoft Sharepoint, Forms and Power Automate
- Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills;
- CHRP Designation or in the process of completion would be considered an asset.
- Strong technical skills and ability to leverage technology for HR and business operations administrative efficiency
- Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
