DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented HR Assistant to join our team specializing in Human Resources for our HR department in Huddersfield, UK.

The role can be hybrid, 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Enhancing Data Accuracy: By conducting regular data-entry audits and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of workforce information, you’ll maintain high standards of data integrity.

  • Supporting Employee Lifecycle: From recruitment to exit interviews, your involvement in various HR processes will ensure smooth transitions and positive experiences for employees.

  • Facilitating Compliance: By assisting in the administration of HR policies and auditing compliance with legislative requirements, you’ll help the organization adhere to legal standards.

  • Streamlining Processes: Coordinating HR business process activities will support the achievement of timelines and quality objectives, contributing to overall efficiency.

  • Improving Onboarding: Your role in coordinating new hire orientation and activities will help new employees integrate smoothly into the organization.

  • Assisting in Investigations: Documenting investigations and coordinating internal audit requests will ensure thorough and accurate handling of sensitive matters.

  • Supporting Compensation and Benefits: By partnering with shared services and corporate HR, you’ll help administer compensation and benefits processes, ensuring employees receive their entitlements accurately and timely.

  • Enhancing Recruitment Efforts: Providing staffing and recruiting support, including coordinating recruiting activities and conducting reference checks, will help attract and retain top talent.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret and communicate qualitative and quantitative data, applying data analytics to extract meaningful patterns and business insights for data-driven decisions.

  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and completeness in data management, employee contracts, and compliance with company policies and legislative requirements.

  • Effective Communication: Collaborating with partners to provide holistic HR solutions, managing the HR inbox, and advising employees and managers on company policies and procedures.

  • Confidentiality and Judgement: Handling highly confidential information with trust and managing conflicting priorities responsibly, exercising sound judgement in various HR scenarios.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
