Sophos is headquartered in Oxford, U.K. More information is available at .Role SummaryThe HR Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the Americas HR team in delivering seamless and efficient HR solutions. You will tackle a wide range of responsibilities, from a high volume of administrative tasks to supporting impactful HR projects. This is a hybrid role requiring a mix of remote work and in-office time at our Vancouver Office.You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience across a wide range of HR processes while collaborating with a supportive, seasoned team. - High-volume HR transactions: Process employee data changes, transfers, exits, and other HR requests while maintaining accuracy and compliance with internal policies and local regulations.
- First-Point HR Support: Serve as the go-to resource for employee inquiries, resolving them promptly or escalating when necessary. This includes management of the Americas HR Jira Helpdesk and inbox.
- Onboarding Excellence: Oversee the onboarding process for the Americas region, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience.
- Payroll Coordination: Partner with the Payroll team to support accurate payroll processing
- Benefits Administration: Administer health benefits, troubleshoot issues, and partner with benefits carriers for resolution.
- Talent Acquisition Support: Collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition team to support a seamless hiring process and contribute to a positive candidate experience.
- Employee Events: Plan and execute events like team socials, holiday celebrations, and career fairs.
- Vendor and Purchasing Coordination: Assist with HR vendor relationships and procurement processes, including maintaining purchase orders.
- Maintain Internal Resources: Update and enhance the Americas HR intranet as needed.
- HR Programs & Projects: Maintain and support key HR initiatives, policy rollouts, and ad-hoc projects that contribute to the team’s success.
What You Will Bring
- Previous Relevant Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar fast-paced, remote, or hybrid environment, demonstrating adaptability and reliability.
- Detail-Oriented & Organized: Proven ability to manage confidential information and high-volume tasks with exceptional accuracy, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Proactive Problem Solver: You anticipate and tackle challenges proactively, leveraging resourcefulness to develop timely solutions.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively support employees and partner with teams in a hybrid environment.
- Tech-Savviness: Comfortable working with HRIS platforms, MS Office Suite, and tools like SAP or intranet systems, with a willingness to learn new systems. Experience with SuccessFactors and Lever is a plus.
- Time Management & Prioritization: You excel at managing multiple priorities effectively, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.

In the Canada, the base salary for this role ranges from $54,000 to $90,000. In addition to base salary, we offer additional compensation including bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.
