HR Generalist (part time)

Work Mode: Onsite

This is a HR Generalist position, providing comprehensive support in all HR functions including recruitment and selection, onboarding, talent and culture reviews, engagement, change management and employee relations. This role will require liaison and partnership with Global Centres of Excellence (COE) – Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Talent & Development, Global Mobility, Wellbeing etc.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Building Talent & Culture:

  • Responsible for supporting effective recruitment activities, including job scope/intake in partnership with leaders, selection, and onboarding.

  • Coach managers to set performance objectives that are specific and measurable.

  • Partner with leaders and Sr leaders on talent and succession. Support with job family reviews, training needs, ensure robust development plans are designed for associates and help prepare for future changes that may occur in the team.

  • Partnership with COE teams (Comp & Benefits, Talent, Talent Acquisition, Wellbeing & Engagement etc) to ensure that global initiatives are promoted, global standard process applied and consistency in associate communication achieved.

  • Promotion and coordination of Employee Wellbeing, aligned to Global COE.

HR Effectiveness

  • Responsible for generalist HR support on day-to-day issues across the Kast business. The principle aim will be to promote best practice within prevailing legislative framework.

  • Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotions, benefits, and in house processes.

  • Supporting HR process, system and policy change, including briefing managers and associates. Take the lead in monitoring completion and quality related to these activities.

  • Partner with people leaders to provide advice and support with employee relations matters, for example disciplinaries, performance management issues, grievances, and absence management issues.

  • Local contact for “MyBenefits” the Associate Benefits Platform – partnering with C&B COE in annual reviews and new benefit implementation.

  • Local contact for “MyHR” (Associate Self Service Portal) updates and collaboration with Global MyHR team.

  • Regular review and update of policy and procedure ensuring the business remains effective and compliant, in collaboration with Legal team.

  • Partners with H2R (Hire to Retire) Team in Global Shared Services (GSS) to effectively manage HR Operations activity – new hire, leavers, promotions, data management etc.

  • Act as subject matter expert in an area of HR processes, policy, regulation, and operational management for the team. Participate in technology project execution to ensure business needs are met and aligned with efficient processes.

Skills/Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

This position would suit someone who is highly accountable, hands on, enjoys variety and is motivated to provide managers with the necessary tools. An appreciation of best practice and the added value that HR processes and systems can provide is essential.

  • 2-3 years HR experience in a complex business environment.

  • Ideally part CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD.

  • Ideally degree educated or equivalent, within a business-related discipline.

  • Demonstrates solid understanding and experience of HR activity including – Recruiting, onboarding, Employee Relations, Compensation.

  • Experience and comfort with HR systems and technology to support HR processes ie. Applicant Management System.

  • It is essential to be a relationship builder who can quickly gain credibility and respect at all levels.

  • Must be able to work on own initiative, be comfortable with complexity and change, and possess good personal time management skills.

  • Demonstrates a customer service approach, whilst continuing to coach managers for the future.

  • Demonstrates an ability to push back/ challenge managers in an appropriate way.

  • Demonstrates a sound (relevant and up to date) understanding of employment law.

  • Solid experience of recruiting across all levels.

  • Can independently work through employee relations issues, recognizing when to escalate and seek input from leadership/legal team.

  • A keen eye for attention to detail.

  • Able to work globally in a matrix environment where collaboration and communication are paramount.
