Description :We are looking for a driven, curious, and tech savvy HR professional to join our team in the role of HR / HRIS Specialist where you will focus your time supporting talent acquisition, onboarding, orientation and employee relations initiatives along with a major focus on leveraging your technical savviness to support HR leadership to continue the journey of building out our HR systems and processes. Located in Steinbach, MB, this position is a key contributor and an integral role on our HR team. This position is required on-site to effectively provide support to our internal customers, HR and Leadership TeamsKey areas of responsibility:

  • Perform full cycle recruitment from coordinating interviews and candidate logistics to sourcing and scheduling on-site interviews, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Manage the HCM recruitment platform to track applicants in an organized manner.
  • Prepare offer letters, initiate onboarding and coordinate with the successful applicants.
  • Partner with HR team to develop employer branding strategies related to recruitment and talent attraction and participate in community events such as career fairs and educational facility information sessions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, hiring managers and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional customer experience is delivered.
  • Partner with HR colleagues to ensure accurate daily HRIS and employee file administration
  • Create and/or post general internal communications and announcements as required
  • Maintain employee relations tracker and performance management process as well as administer the employee engagement survey process, onboarding and exit survey processes.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives to support the execution of the HR technology roadmap.
  • Research and assist in configuring, implementing and maintaining various UKG Pro modules (Recruiting, Onboarding, Talent, Performance, Perceptions, UKG Core, and Learning).
  • Develop and maintain UKG reports and dashboards, ensuring the HR and leadership teams have access to accurate, real-time data.
  • Consult stakeholders, seek feedback, and ensure all training, information, documented processes and procedures related to new module roll outs or enhancements are communicated, well-thought out and easy to understand for the end-users.
  • Facilitate information and training sessions for leaders and end users as required.
  • Work closely with HR team to identify, consider and evaluate quality improvement options and initiatives leveraging technology to streamline processes, and workflows for stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of emerging HR trends that can be supported and aligned utilizing the technology.

What you bring to the team:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources; or combination of HR experience and education such as Business Administration or Computer Science.
  • HR related experience with base knowledge of employment legislation and recruitment practices.
  • HRIS experience, with strong focus on HCM UKG Pro or Ulti-Pro configuration and administration considered a strong asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
  • Experience in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL) is an asset.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Has the ability to translate data into dashboards that tell a story and capture key insights.
  • A self-starter with excellent organizational skills. Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with a focus on optimizing business processes and improving efficiency.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Available to work from 8:00am to 4:30, with ability to flex schedule on occasion to support HR and organizational needs between the hours of 7:30am and 6:30pm as needed.
