Our client, experts in their field, are a modern and innovative professional services company.The role is incredibly varied and offers a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a busy role where you have the chance to get involved in all aspects of HR!What’s in it for you;Salary: Up to £50k-£55k, depending on experienceHours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 5:00pm, office based – some flexibility for reduced hours for the right candidateBenefits: include 25 days holiday, holiday trading scheme, generous pension scheme, discounts/shopping vouchers, Life assurance, long service awards and a great social calendar!Key ResponsibilitiesManage the recruitment and selection process for all staff, including Apprenticeship and Graduate hiring.Provide support to managers and when required coach managers and supervisors in best recruitment practices. To include direct candidate sourcing, where appropriate, and liaising with external recruitment agencies as needed.Work closely with Partners and Managers, providing them with expert guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities, including policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment, absence management, performance management, maternity leave, flexible working requests and employment legislation, in order to ensure a consistent and fair approach to people managementProvide advice and guidance on individual employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance matters, ensuring that these are well managed and meet the requirements of the firm’s policies, best practice and employment legislation.Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure effective, fair and consistent management of staff throughout the firm, and ensure that the staff handbook is comprehensive and up to date.Manage learning and development activities across the firm and administer training records for all Partners and staff, updating records on the firm’s HR software, IRIS HR.Monitor and review the firm’s system of performance appraisal and continually develop as necessary, ensuring that annual and six-monthly appraisals are carried out in a timely manner and followed up.Gather and analyse data to monitor and measure sickness and absence levels, salary, training and recruitment costs and turnover figures and provide monthly management reports to PartnersReview and manage new starter and leaver processes, including conducting induction and exit interviews for all staff.Manage completion of Best Companies profile and completion of regular employee engagement survey.Collate and input into the HR software all relevant information relating to payroll and benefits on a monthly basis, including new starters, leavers, contract changes, unpaid leave, overtime, childcare vouchers, season ticket loans and deductions. Update the firm’s benefit and pension providers of changes on a monthly basis.Complete administration across all aspects of the HR function, to include starter offer letters and contracts, salary, bonus or benefit adjustments, employees leaving the business (including calculating outstanding holiday), probation letters, employment references, pension auto-enrolment letters and ad hoc employee letters.Identify, design and implement strategic HR projects as and when required.What the employer is looking for:Significant previous experience working in Human Resources, ideally including experience working within a professional services environment.Can demonstrate knowledge of current UK employment law and best employment practices.Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners and staff at all levels within the firm, demonstrating a professional and confident attitude.Ability to work autonomously, but also collaboratively supporting colleagues as needed.Strong leadership and management skills, with an ability to work with others to effectively to raise performance and build engagement.Flexible and adaptable approach to work, particularly during peak periods of work.A high level of personal and professional integrity.Red Door Recruitment is committed to encouraging equality, diversity, and inclusion among our workforce, and eliminating unlawful discrimination.
