RAND Europe has approximately 180 staff across offices in Cambridge, Brussels, and the Netherlands.We wish to recruit a HR & Recruitment Administrator to work in our Cambridge office to support the Recruitment Partner and wider HR team with providing a first-rate recruitment service by attracting talent through appropriate channels, advising hiring managers to ensure the right people are appointed to drive business growth.The successful candidate will hold responsibility for the full administrative suite of recruitment activities for vacancies of Research Assistant, Analyst, Trainee/Stagiaire, Interns, TASP Fellows and temporary staff, from vacancy approval through to issuing contracts, and planning onboarding for the new starters.As required, assists with HR administration across all areas including the maintenance of employee records, sickness/holiday management, and any other tasks deemed appropriateThis role will be based at our Cambridge (UK) office; RAND Europe operates on a hybrid working policy with the opportunity to work from home for part of the week.Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with HR colleagues to provide a seamless service to the organisation from application to onboarding.
  • Work closely with recruiting managers to understand key requirements for individual teams and roles.
  • Provide support and guidance to all involved in the recruitment process including on interview techniques, advertising and candidate selection.
  • Placing recruitment advertisements, monitoring responses, screening candidates, and setting up interviews.
  • Arranging and conducting telephone/online screening calls.
  • Scheduling interview panels and assessments, sending confirmations to both managers and candidates, both in person, and virtual as required.
  • Conducting online and face-to-face interviews and assessments, with recruiting managers and/or HR colleagues.
  • Scheduling interview debriefs with the relevant interviewing team members.
  • Processing job offers for the successful candidates, including initial right to work checks, confirming start dates and issuing offer letters and contracts of employment.
  • Ad hoc support for the HR Officer, ensuring pre-employment background checks (BPSS) are completed in a timely manner.
  • Preparing Induction plans for all new starters in a timely fashion and in line with the company standards, liaising proactively with all colleagues contributing to the Induction.
  • Responsible for updating sickness absence records on the HR system and dealing with any inaccuracies.
  • Assisting with the administration of the leaver process, including preparing letters and scheduling exit interviews, as directed.
  • Assisting the HR Officer, as required, with the management of company training, including but not limited to sending out Outlook appointments to staff, collating feedback, managing cancellations and meeting room bookings.
  • Providing support for the HR team with various administrative tasks, as required, including but not limited to; additional onboarding/offboarding tasks, administration for holidays and other leave, processing changes to contracts of employment, and any other reasonable request.
  • Compliance with all company policies and RAND Europe Management Systems.
  • Compliance with all IMS policies

Requirements

  • Experience in an HR and / or administrative Recruitment role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to demonstrate a collaborative approach, and flexibility.
  • Ability to multitask and manage your schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Proven ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and its scheduling tools.).
  • Knowledge of eligibility to work rules
  • Basic understanding of UK Employment Law

Salary£26,000 – £28,000 per annum DOEBenefits
