Description :Reporting to the Manager, Application Services, this position is responsible for managing Northwestel’s Human Resources Information System and providing ongoing functional and technical support for the corporate human resource system and system interfaces with internal and external applications. The incumbent is responsible for troubleshooting and analyzing problems or issues, designing solutions with the applications technical team, and ensuring ongoing support for the Human Resources team to address business requirements. This position is also responsible for position control, data quality and governance, business analytics and for the development and generation of reports, dashboards, and scorecards. The HRIS Analyst is required to provide statistical reporting support for other departments throughout the company and/or assume the lead role in special projects that require HRIS data design and evaluation. Develops and implements audit processes to facilitate the analysis of data input and output to ensure accuracy and consistency.Supports the HR team in areas of data maintenance, data integrity, reporting, and analytics. Writes, maintains, and supports a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing end-user needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.Partners with Payroll to provide data and system support within the HRIS and Payroll system and to ensure accuracy and consistency.Provides end-user support, and ensures high quality education, support, and troubleshooting on HRIS issues for end users, including, but not limited to, researching, and resolving HRIS problems, identify root causes and develop action plans to improve unexpected results or process flaws; performs scheduled activities; and recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.Oversees the implementation of different HRIS modules and functionality as required.Develop metrics and reports to track position control accuracy and alignment.Create, maintain, monitor and report new and existing position control. Align information with Finance, HR, Payroll, and others to keep data accuracy including new position requests, and position changes (promotion, reclassifications).Analyze data, compare with historical information, and provide insights. Develop data insights and predictive analytics to improve key organizational metrics, including retention, turnover, fill rate etc.Identify business opportunities, propose. and implement improvements for key business goals, like staff retention, turnover, etc. using trend analysis, predictive analytics, and employee projections.Provide specific examples of improving key organizational metrics. Works with the HRIS vendor to implement, maintain, and enhance HRIS modules as well as identifying and troubleshooting complex HRIS technical problems and deficiencies, coordinating resolutions with the vendor when required.Provides support to HR management and staff as required for all HR projects and initiatives required the HRIS as a data source.Provide compliance required reporting, including the company’s overtime permit monthly submissions and annual employment equity reports.Collaborates with Senior Managers in developing the capabilities of the HRIS to support incentive/bonus plans, processes and determining annual employee bonuses.Participate fully in our organizational health and safety programs, adhering to all safe work practices and procedures and staying focused on continuous improvement. In addition, ensuring all Accident Prevention Program (APP’s) training, all Code of Business Conduct (CoBC) training, and all other Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training are completed on time.Timely completion of all administrative tasks including, but not limited to time reporting, expense reporting and submission of corporate card statements, as applicable.Knowledge And Skills RequiredBachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Human Resources or related field.Five or more years of experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) administration or superuser including employee on-boarding, employee changes, payroll, benefits, and others.Experience in database querying, generation and reporting of data analytics, insights, and report writing, documentation, scorecards, dashboards.Experience developing predictive analytics, demonstrated competency in research, organization, and planning.Experience with UKG/UltiPro, Cognos Business Intelligence, SQL, HTML, knowledge of other HRIS systems such as SAP would be an asset.This position requires advanced Excel skills, with a keen ability to analyze, evaluate and integrate business processes and procedures; write logical, comprehensive, concise reports and correspondence; communicate effectively orally and in writing using language understandable to management and staff.As a safety conscious COR™ Certified organization, we have an established and comprehensive safety program.
