This opportunity is hybrid in Calgary, Alberta.#LI-HybridThe HSSES Advisor will be responsible for providing timely advice and guidance on all matters related to Health, Safety, Environment, and Sustainability, ensuring compliance with legislation, company policy, management systems, and client requirements. The role includes mentorship, coordination, and fostering relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.Our Clients and Projects Designing the future.   • Develop annual HSSES improvement plans aligned with company and client objectives
  • Manage project HSSES interface requirements ensuring compliance with existing and future plans
  • Communicate HSSES requirements to relevant personnel
  • Support incident investigations and reporting
  • Assist in coordinating internal and external audits
  • Promote lessons learned and progressive learnings across projects
  • Ensure emergency response arrangements are in place and communicated
  • Build relationships with Client HSSES Reps and site Safety Reps
  • Manage HSSES meetings, workshops, and forums
  • Maintain a system for monitoring HSSES performance
  • Develop a site HSSES visit program for project management and corporate HSSES management
  • Promote workforce involvement in all HSSES initiatives

  • Degree or Diploma in HSSES or related industry (considered an asset)
  • CRSP Certificate (considered an asset)
  • 2-5 years of experience in an HSSES or associated role
  • Familiarity with industry regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of ISNetWorld/AVETTA/ComplyWorks
  • Effective communicator, comfortable presenting HSSES programs
  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders
  • Demonstrable commitment to continuous improvement
  • Understanding of project management principles and auditing processes
  • Commitment to driving down incidents and accidents in the industry
  • Trustworthy, approachable, and a proactive team player
