The school prides itself on fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.About the Role:As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and informative lessons that inspire students to develop their knowledge and skills in the Humanities. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a comprehensive Humanities curriculum, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on students’ educational journeys and help them discover their passion for history, geography, and social sciences.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Humanities curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that inspire students to develop their knowledge and skills in history, geography, and social sciences.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Organise and oversee field trips and other experiential learning opportunities to enhance students’ understanding of the Humanities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Humanities at the secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching Humanities.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in Humanities education (desirable but not essential).

To work with GSL Education as a Humanities Teacher, you will need:

  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
