Workplace Arrangement: #LI-OnsiteAbout the roleWe have an exciting opportunity at Kerry in Coleraine to join our team as a Hygiene Lead on a 12-month fixed-term contract for maternity cover. This role offers a fantastic chance to showcase your expertise in maintaining high hygiene standards and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.What will I be doing?

  • Management and control of site hygiene activities to ensure the effective elimination or prevention of microbiological, chemical, and foreign body contamination.
  • Full implementation and adherence to the Kerry Global Sanitation Standards.
  • Management and control of all 3rd party hygiene service providers & agreement of SLA’s.
  • Provide the site management team with detailed regular reports including the trended analysis of the site hygiene performance against set KPI’s and agreed metrics and milestones.
  • Report all Global & Regional Sanitation KPI’s & metrics as required.
  • Management of the Hygiene Team and structure.
  • Review of the existing contracts, costs and structure to deliver hygiene services to site.
  • Create and perform thorough and accurate risk assessments, inspections and cleaning schedules in line with HACCP, Allergen Management, Engineering and Maintenance.
  • Manage and review any deviations to the cleaning schedules.
  • The creation, management and maintenance of cleaning instruction cards (SSOPs) to the agreed standards set by Kerry Global, 3rd party and customers.
  • Work with the Multi functional teams on site to ensure any new processes or equipment has a completed cleaning instruction card, has been verified as clean as per the installation and change management process being released to production.
  • Verification and validation of cleaning and sanitation which may include weekend working from time to time.
  • Provide advice for stored product pest management and facility pest control & develop relationship with Pest Control Provider.
  • The upkeep of pest control system & co ordination of recommendation close out – trending of close out to be completed on a monthly basis with audits completed to an approved schedule.
  • Ensure designated personnel are trained in IPM for food manufacturing to manage pests.
  • Hygienic Design – Build awareness and capability of site teams on hygienic design and hygiene zoning requirements.

  • Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills.
  • Fluency of English language.
  • Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data.
  • Food manufacturing experience.
  • Food Hygiene Level 3 or equivalent.
  • HACCP Level 3 as a minimum.
  • Diploma/Degree or higher in a Food Science related subject and IOSH Managing Safely would also be desirable.
