We are welcoming applications for the role of ICT Commercial Support Officer with Devon & Cornwall Police based at the following location(s): Police Headquarters, ExeterSalary: Grade 3 – Starts at £24,675 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £25,626 per annum
Please note that the above salary is based on working 37 hours per week. If this role is part-time or you are appointed on a part-time basis your salary will be prorated to reflect this. Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Devon and Cornwall or Dorset Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.Type of employment: PermanentType of working arrangement: Hybrid Worker – Hybrid working is a form of flexible working where workers spend some of their time working remotely (usually, but not necessarily, from home) and some in the employer’s workspace.Hours per week: this role is 37 and 18.5 hours per week. However we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.Allowances: This role attracts no allowances.About the role:This role is part of the Commercial Team within the Alliance ICT Department, serving the Police Forces of Devon & Cornwall and Dorset.The Commercial Team is a small, newly formed team, which has responsibility for Contract and Supplier management activities. These activities include the renewal of software support contracts, licensing and equipment management.The aim of the Team’s activity is to ensure that all purchases are made in an efficient manner and that value for money is sought in every transaction.The Commercial Support Officer will work alongside the Commercial Support Analyst, and under the supervision of the Senior Commercial Analyst. Initially it is planned that the Commercial Support Officers activities will concentrate on maintenance and renewal of the many software support and licensing agreements that are in place across both Police Forces, with a variety of end suppliers.A meticulous approach to the work will be required, along with the organisational skills to ensure that all renewals are completed in a timely manner.Please note that there is two vacancies for this post. One full time 37 hours and one part-time 18.5 hours.
