IMMEDIATELY HIRING: ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR!Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Inspector to perform technical inspections of electrical installations in connection with light, heat, or power for buildings and other structures. The role involves ensuring compliance with the New York building and electrical codes, other pertinent laws and rules, and approved plans. The Inspector will conduct periodic inspections of electrical wiring in combustible occupancies and places of public assembly.Responsibilities

• Conduct technical inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with New York building and electrical codes, other pertinent laws and rules, and approved plans.
• Perform periodic inspections of electrical wiring in combustible occupancies and places of public assembly.
• Conduct joint inspections with FDNY at scenes of fires and other accidents regarding potential electrical defects.
• Inspect scenes of fires or accidents to determine whether violations of NYC Construction Codes, Electrical Code, Department rules, and other pertinent laws and rules are present.
• Investigate complaints of defective electrical installations reported as fire, shock, or other hazards and issue verbal or written instructions for correction.
• Study drawings to obtain details for inspections.
• Explain and enforce electrical standards, laws, and rules relevant to the field.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of Electrical Inspecting experience in commercial buildings
• Experience with Building Condition Assessment (BCA), Facility Condition Assessment (FCA), or Property Condition Assessment (PCA)
• Proficiency in inspection, electrical engineering, and electrical inspection
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and blueprints

Work EnvironmentThis is a contract role for 3 months with a 40-hour work week. Inspections will be conducted throughout the 5 boroughs, with a primary focus on Manhattan.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 – $65.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
