About the Company:An excellent opportunity has arisen for an In-House Paralegal to join a global investment manager with €40bn AUM, specialising in private equity, private debt, and real estate investments. With a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, they are looking to expand their legal team by hiring a proactive, detail-oriented In-House Paralegal in London.The role:This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and commercially minded In-House Paralegal to play an integral role in the legal and compliance functions of a top-tier investment manager. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal matters, including contract drafting, compliance frameworks, and regulatory reporting, in a highly dynamic and fast-paced setting.Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing legal and compliance frameworks for the business, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Drafting a wide range of contracts, both from scratch and from precedent.
  • Preparing FCA regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations.
  • Reviewing NDAs and commercial contracts, providing guidance on legal risks and obligations.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (including investment, finance, and compliance) to provide comprehensive legal support.
  • Assisting in the development of legal risk management strategies, identifying potential issues and working to mitigate risk across the organization.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory changes impacting the investment management industry.

About you:

  • 2-3 years’ experience as a paralegal, preferably within financial services, investment management, or private equity.
  • Strong knowledge of contracts: Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, NDAs, and investment documents.
  • Legal risk & compliance awareness: Experience in developing or assisting with legal risk management frameworks and understanding of FCA regulations is highly desirable.
  • Languages: French or German language skills would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail and accuracy in all legal documents.
  • Commercial acumen: A strong commercial outlook and an ability to balance legal considerations with business needs.
  • Fast-paced environment: Comfortable working in a high-energy, constantly evolving environment.
  • Qualifications: A law degree (or equivalent qualification) is essential.
  • Team player: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
