Position Summary…

About Team
This role is part of the Walmart Global Tech Product team with a specific focus on building products in the Facilities Management domain (One Reality) for Walmart Digital Facilities organization. Core Service – Retail Tech team is responsible for building and enhancing the next generation global Digital Facilities to further enhance our customer experience while reducing cost of maintenance. Walmart has significant opportunity to optimize our operations cost using advanced technology while enabling a rich customer experience and win with Walmart’s everyday low-cost philosophy. This role will help in accelerating our Technician platform roadmap and working with the FM business team to drive and measure the impact of our platform related initiativesWhat you’ll do:
- Publish and update technical architecture and user/process documentation.
- Architect, design, build, and deploy cutting-edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers.
- Drive Proof of Concept (POC) and Proof of Technology (POT) evaluations.
- Providing technical mentorship and coaching engineers.
- Create and recommend solution design options factoring in requirements, standards, and the current Infrastructure environment.
- Communicate and present solutions to the other stakeholders.
- Interacting with management.
- Playing for features delivery.
- Review KPIs, Monitoring, and Alarms for a successful production system.
What you’ll bring:
- Architecture, Design, Development, Reviews, etc.
- Walmart scale – exposure to various Walmart business units like Jet, Hayneedle, and Walmart eCommerce.
- Interact with highly skilled Architects community to share and learn new technologies, scale, performance, etc.
- Gain hands-on experience in designing scalable solutions, and working with Walmart’s business, products.
- Gain development experience in sophisticated, scalable, and high-performing systems.
- Leverage open-source technologies using public clouds; build and mentor engineers; present ideas to larger organizations groups including innovation; foster culture independently to run the team.
- An Engineering Degree – B. E/B. Tech/M. Tech/MS in any stream – Computer Science preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in J2EE, Distributed Database, Kafka with solid hands-on multi-threading, functional programming, etc.
- A strong understanding of CS Fundamentals, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Problem Solving.
- Mandatory Skills: Kafka, Distributed Database, Big Data Knowledge, Java /Scala.
- Event Streaming with Integration to IOT devices and HUB
- Knowledge on refrigeration related assets and IOT Integration
