Salary: $121,380.00 –
$149,028.00 Annually

Responsibilities:
This position is the agency’s Chief Information Officer. Some of what you will enjoy doing include:
- Leads ITD Team.
- Sets and manages division priorities, programs, and business plans to align with DNR and state goals.
- Provides consultation and supports agency IT needs.
- Creates sustainable IT solutions and fosters a healthy culture within ITD.
- Selects technology to optimize operations and benefits and collaborates on innovative technology solutions.
- Gives clear direction and empowers ITD staff.
- Develops workforce and funding models for division goals.
- Analyzes IT costs, benefits, and risks for management advice.
- Manages the organization’s software development needs and supports/plans implementation of new systems.
- Ultimately responsible for developing agency IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay updated on IT trends and emerging technologies while implementing IT best practices across the organization.
- Oversees relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Oversight of project management
- Other duties as needed.
*Required Qualifications: *
Fifteen (15) years of combined education and/or experience in qualifying fields as defined below:
- Qualifying education: Computer Science, Information Management, or related field from a college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the US Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- Qualifying experience: Proven experience and demonstrated capability in leading and managing an Information Technology team to deliver innovative and agile IT solutions that span multiple functional areas (application development/maintenance, server operations, enterprise architecture, network/desktop services, etc.) while building and maintaining productive relationships.
Ability to control large IT programs, measure outcomes, supervise, improve organizational culture, listen effectively, provide consultation, interpret laws/policies, solve problems logically, establish objectives/strategies, and provide technical/policy leadership.
Knowledge of state programs, public policy, performance management, quality management, diversity management, conflict management, strategic planning, administrative organization, computer systems, and best practices in enterprise computing.
Demonstrated leadership skills to lead, support, motivate, mentor, and train management, professional, technical, and administrative support staff.
Demonstrated ability and commitment to communicate effectively and foster collaborative relationships internally and externally.
Ability to conceptualize, develop, and implement long-term strategic direction for the agency’s information technology needs and to leverage technologies to provide effective solutions that meet business needs.
Data-driven decision-making and fair-mindedness.
Experienced in managing complex organizational change.
Experienced in project management.
Ability to manage with limited resources and maintain customer focus.
