  • DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for negotiating contracts on behalf of the Health Systems for products, parts, services and commodities. Responsible for the research, conversion and implementation of the Berkshire Health Systems committed contracting programs

  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)

  • Experience:

  • Previous purchasing experiences necessary.

  • Previous experience in an acute healthcare setting desirable.

  • Previous experience in contract negotiations desirable.

  • Previous experience in information technology desirable.

  • Education and Training:

  • Bachelors degree ,equivalent education or experience is required .

  • License, Certification & Registration:

  • None required.

  • Other Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills a must.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Must be proficient in basic computer skills.

  • Basic math skills required
