Salary/Rate: €800 per dayInfrastructure / Datacentre ManagerOur customer is looking to onboard a hands-on Infrastructure / Data Centre Systems Manager who has solid and demonstrable experience in managing colocation datacentres. Ultimately, our customer is moving all countries (Italy, Cheque Republic, Germany, Netherlands and the UK) into two brand news DC’s and this will be your primary focus.We are hiring for a resource who can very quickly get onboard with the DC Programme and who knows what’s required to setup new DC’s and then gel all remaining infrastructure with these. There are some immediate policies that they need assistance with creating for their new EU datacentre operations which you will be required to create.This is a management role that involves a bit of hands-on work with Windows and Linux technologies (you should be able to get mucky on the keyboard when required), however, the predominant chunk of this role will be focussed on the management side. So, managing people, ensuring process and policy is being followed, holding engineers and suppliers to account etc and being a technical bouncing board to the engineers.You will work closely with the Data Centre Team Lead and a team of capable engineers to do what is required to setup both DC’s.For any applicants that have a second spoken language to English will be considered advantageous – in particular German or Italian.Up to €800 per dayRemote -Italy (Milan)
