The Opportunity:Job Opportunity: Payroll Specialist – UK & IRE – AvantorAvantor is looking for an immediately available Interim Payroll Specialist based at our Head office location in Lutterworth on a hybrid basis.Team StructureReporting to the HR Manager UK & IRE, the Payroll Specialist will be part of a team of 10 HR Professionals.QualificationsEducation: CIPP / IPASS Certification (desired)Experience: 5 + years UK/IRE payroll experienceExperience using third party payroll vendors such as ADPExperience with Workday PECI integrations (desired)Strong organisational skillsStrong interpersonal skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailTeam playerAbility to respond to internal requests for support and assistance in a prompt and professional manner and prioritise/ re-prioritise appropriatelyStrong time management, problem-solving and analytical skillsAdvanced proficiency in ExcelMultilingual capabilities will be beneficialHow You Will Thrive and Create ImpactEnsure that all employees are paid accurately and on time, ensuring compliance in line with local laws as well as internal company policies.Assume full responsibility for the checking of trial and final payroll outputs which includes include: payslips, gross to net reports, monthly variance analysis, payment files and statutory filingsEnsure accurate month-end reporting including the creation and reconciliation of payroll journals & support the finance team with open queriesProcess off-cycle payments including final salary, bonuses and commissionsProvide hands on support to queries received from employees, HR, supervisors, managers and the local government office (HMRC/Revenue) in a timely mannerEnsure all statutory filings, tax returns, and statutory reports required by law are submitted in line with monthly and annual filingsKeep up to date on UK / IRE local legislation. In collaboration with the external payroll vendor, ensure compliance across all payrollsPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for internal stakeholders, including finance and HR.Responsible for internal and external audit queriesEnsure all documentation is kept up to dateSupport internal and external payroll audit requestsDemonstrate complete discretion and confidentialityAssist with other payroll and accounting projects such as new entity set ups, payroll system integrations, HRIS system enhancementsAre you an experienced Payroll Specialist ready to advance your career?
