The primary responsibility of this role is to understand and translate data requirements across different departments. The Data Developer will be actively involved in the design, development, analysis, and implementation of data models and solutions.Key responsibilities includes:– Engage with various AOEs to gather and interpret their data requirements.– Design and develop data models and solutions that meet the identified needs.– Define relevant data attributes and determine the necessary data to be extracted for building effective information solutions.– Support AOEs in obtaining the information they require by implementing robust data solutions.– Provide a broad range of SAP and non-SAP services, including new application design, construction, system integration, and maintenance.– Collaborate with Solution Architects, Developers, Systems Analysts, and QA Analysts to ensure system requirements and configurations meet the business needs.– Technical expertise and extensive experience in data development.– Proficiency in working with both SAP and non-SAP systems.– Strong analytical skills and the ability to design effective data solutions.– Excellent communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders.This position is crucial for ensuring that ATB Financial can effectively leverage data to support its diverse operational needs. If you have a passion for data and a track record of developing successful data solutions, we would love to hear from you.Please note that this is a temporary opportunity for up to 12 Months.AccountabilitiesSystem Support and Monitoring: Oversee system loads, enhance data models, refine queries, manage integrations, and handle ongoing production support tasks.Requirements Translation: Convert requirements into clear and comprehensive Functional/Business Requirement Documents to ensure accurate and efficient builds.Development: Understand and manage the process of building, testing, and promoting information solutions within ATB environments.Data Warehousing and Big Data Expertise: Demonstrate substantial experience in data warehousing and big data, including data modeling principles and methods (conceptual, logical, and physical data models).Timely Delivery: Deliver data models and solutions within project deadlines and budgets.Skills, experience & requirementsEducation: Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Information Technology).Experience: 7+ years of experience in data warehousing and big data.Technical Skills:

• Highly proficient with SQL, including creating dimensions, aggregates, and views, as well as data optimization techniques (e.g., table partitioning, clustering).
• Proficiency in JIRA Administration.
• Proficient with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, and Airflow.
• Proficient in data analytics, curation, cleansing, and harmonization.
• Knowledge of Python programming is an asset.
• Ability to apply critical thinking skills to writing and communication.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt modeling methods from case studies or other proven approaches.

Soft Skills:

• Great team player who is self-motivated and well-organized.
• Excellent technical and business communication skills.
• Ability to work with remote teams and manage project scope.
