Job Title: Internal Communications LeadReporting to: Chief People OfficerLocation: Bristol, Hybrid 3 Days/Week onsiteSalary: £70,000 – £80,000 depending on skills and experienceAs Internal Communications Lead, you will be the chief storyteller, working across the organization to ensure our mission, vision and values run through everything we do, empowering senior leaders and staff to communicate bi-directionally and share knowledge effectively. Reporting to our Chief People Officer in this newly created role your communications will resonate with our globally diverse workforce, ensuring everyone is informed, feels inspired, engaged and are proud to represent Beam.You will build and maintain great working relationships at all levels throughout the business, producing material on behalf of all business functions and supporting leaders with effective communication delivery.Objectives & Responsibilities:Beam is an exciting and dynamic environment meaning these are likely to change as we grow. Upon joining your objectives and responsibilities will include:You will own and lead on an internal communications strategy, to enable meaningful two-way communication with staff; promote staff engagement; encourage organization-wide collaboration; ensure staff understand company objectives, priorities, and key messages; and disseminate major updates in a timely and consistent manner. You’ll manage day to day internal corporate communications, advising and supporting internal and external stakeholders and will be responsible for managing the development of our internal communications channels.You will ensure that priority projects, particularly change management, are given adequate resource. You will deliver support and advice across the organization on internal communications best practice and will deliver a calendar of engagement activities, using personas to develop content and targeted messaging.You should apply if you have:We know it’s tough, but please try to avoid the confidence gap. - Significant experience in a senior internal communications role, developing strategy and with demonstrable track record in developing and managing impactful communications activities.
- A strong understanding of brand and corporate identity, with experience of acting as a brand champion and guardian particularly with internal stakeholders and translating values into behaviours.
- Excellent written communications skills with significant experience of creating high quality, compelling communications that support the vision, values and strategic direction across a range of different media.
- Experience of building and developing relationships with a range of stakeholders as well as excellent diplomacy, influencing and negotiating skills.
- Experience of working directly with senior leadership, influencing and supporting their internal communications to staff.
- An audience-focused approach to communications with a demonstrable ability to adapt messages and methods to meet the needs of specific groups.
- Ability to evaluate internal communications campaigns against corporate objectives and use this to inform the development of future activities.
- Ability to innovate, identify opportunities for improvement, and respond to a changing internal context and to evolving internal communications best practice.
- Experience of creating and curating internal communications to a UK/US/European workforce in a fast-growing scaleup environment would be highly desirable.
