As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Dynamics is seeking an eager, enthusiastic, experienced Material Handler to join our successful Toronto team immediately. We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills in manufacturing.SUMMARY:This position reports to the Shipping Manager. The successful applicant will be working in Shipping supporting all related duties as a Material Handler.
This is a unionized position – Subject to assessment of skills and qualifications by Active following 60 working days.
The pay rate is $23.70/h – After probation, the rate will be $23.95/h – Shift Premium where applicable.
Shifts may vary.
Vacancies: 1 Day Shift (7:00am – 3:30pm)Role:
- Perform all duties according to the OHSA&R and Company Policies.
- Conducts required quality checks and dock audits to insure goods are within engineered specification.
- Responsible for completing shipments per the provided pick lists.
- Pick and stage material and finished goods for shipping
- Advise of shortage in materials/goods to be received or shipped
- Document and complete shipping documentation.
- Notifies Shipping Manager of damages/defects or other serious occurrences related to shipping.
- Performs housekeeping, clean-up and other 5 S related activities as required.
- Any other duties as assigned.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Able to follow shipping procedures and capable of learning to perform shipping related inventory transactions.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with Active Dynamics Component Parts.
- Minimum grade 12 or equivalent education.
- Written & oral aptitude in English.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Conscientious and punctual.
- Require Lift truck license.
