This form is not for inquiring about a position or the status of an application.Internationalization Program Manager IIIThe Globalization Technology team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Internationalization Program Manager to build the foundations of the function and deliver on our internationalization strategy. As an Internationalization Program Manager, you will play a key role in creating key partnerships that will help support EG’s global expansion efforts by ensuring our products are i18n compliant from inception and our language experiences culturally and linguistically tailored to diverse markets from the product development stage.What you will do:Map out key stakeholders from Partner & Traveler Products, Engineering, Design and Marketing teams to understand current state & ecosystem and build strategic partnerships to apply a holistic approach to internationalization.Perform audits of current internationalization libraries and translation pipelines to establish clear baseline of current state and define ideal state.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Vrbo and Partner Central being a priority) including Product Management, Engineering, Design, and Marketing to integrate internationalization requirements into product roadmaps and development cycles.Liaise with BEX team to make sure we can deliver on our UAE expansion from an i18n perspective, since BEX currently does not support bi-directional text or ICU Syntax consistently across apps.Lead GenAI efforts related to i18n through testing GPT-4 and GitHub co-pilot’s ability to automate scanning and fixing of i18n issues.Improve our i18n analytics reporting through revamping our current Tableau dashboard and ensure automatic surfacing of data in both Localization and Quality Platform teams dashboards.Work with key partners on designing and building a Global Readiness Scorecard to help us understand the readiness level of our products and make sure we always are i18n compliant from a Dev and Design standpoint.Lead efforts in testing and integrating Figma connector in XTM to enable agility at the design and dev stages and advocate for pseudo-localization practice and adoptionServe as a subject matter expert on internationalization best practices, standards, and tools, and provide guidance and training to internal teams through advocacy programs.Build and present internationalization roadmap and present results to stakeholders during business reviews, tech and XD sync ups, etc.Conduct market research and competitive analysis for internationalization in order to identify opportunities and challenges in target markets and provide insights to allow a better local user experience.Who you are:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Business, Linguistics, Computer Science) required; Master’s degree preferred.PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.Proven experience managing internationalization or localization projects in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, preferably within the travel industry.Good understanding of internationalization concepts, standards, and best practices, with hands-on experience implementing them in software or digital products.Strong program management skills, good business acumen and adaptability, strategic thinking and effective tasks prioritization to deliver results in a dynamic and evolving environment.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency in multiple programming languages is a plus (Python, VueJS framework, Java, Rails framework, PHP)Experience with international SEO, SEM, or digital marketing is desirable.Why Join Us: You’ll have the opportunity to be part of a passionate and diverse team that is shaping the future of travel technology. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $144,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
