However, individuals with transferable skills from a corporate and business development, or research and development background will be considered. We’re striving to find an individual with a unique set of skills and experiences who can make a significant contribution to a high-performing team.The GSK Investor Relations team is based in London, UK and Philadelphia, US. The group consists of twelve colleagues who serve as the principal liaison between the Company and capital markets. The Director of Investor Relations will be charged with proactive capital market engagement and outreach to sell-side analysts and buy-side investors – helping communicate GSK’s innovation agenda, pipeline, advancements, and successes. They will play a key role in communicating GSK’s purpose; to unite science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease together.As an Investor Relations Analyst/Manager, you will be offered an incredible breadth and depth of opportunity and challenge. Investor Relations provides the partnership, strategic guidance, and support services the business needs to engage efficiently and effectively with capital markets.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:This role is accountable for the successful delivery of the Investor Relations’ outreach programme and will provide you with the opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career; these responsibilities include several of the following:Immerse themself in GSK’s overall business strategy, the R&D strategy, and the financial dynamics of each of its areas of business to become a corporate subject-matter expert for the capital markets,Support the creation of engaging capital market materials, including contributing to the preparation and participation in quarterly financial results (including consensus), pipeline updates, and capital market education events. Over time, become a key contributor, copywriter, and partner to the business and senior managementProactively participate in the servicing of sell-side analysts, i.e., questions, modelling, and consensus estimates, including contributing to investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows alongside senior management in timeIn addition, as the new Investor Relations Analyst/Manager, you will be expected to be involved in numerous projects and initiatives, exhibiting critical skills, for example:Analyst consensus compilation, analysis and synthesisResponsible for supporting quarterly Financial preparations, including working closely with the Group CFO and Finance Leadership TeamManagement reporting, including peer tracking and market analysis, while leveraging technology to drive improved efficiencyForge strong relationships based on trust and credibilityWork in collaboration with other team members and other company functions to improve communication and teamwork to drive efficiencies and ensure consistency of messageProvide strategic counsel to the business around materiality, effective capital market communication, message development, and best practice investor engagement.Comfortable working in a highly matrixed organisation with the ability to manage a variety of stakeholder expectations at global, regional, and country-levelWhy you?Basic Qualifications:We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:Strong focus on quality, based on a diligent, analytical, and critical-thinking mind-setExceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to distil complexity into simple and compelling key points. Be able to concisely articulate and explain the business strategy, financial performance, R&D pipeline and productivity progressStrong project management skills, with the drive and ambition to lead projects to successful outcomes despite ambiguityStrong interpersonal skills that develop relationships internally and externally based on trust and integrityAbility to work independently and collaboratively while contributing to a high-performing teamAbility to engage and interface effectively at all levels of the organisation to influence internal and external audiences. You must be comfortable interacting with the global leadership team, i.e., the CEO, CFO, and other members of senior managementPrevious Investor Relations experience is not required, although experience in adjacent areas is a plus, i.e., corporate strategy, business development, investment banking, or capital markets.Scientific literacy, with the intellectual bandwidth to understand the medicine discovery and development processesOutstanding IT skills.Preferred Qualifications:If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree (preferred)Professional Finance qualification (such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA, FCA)Positive mindset, characterised by optimism and strong intentionEffective communication skillsStrong business acumenDemonstrated aptitude for managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyAbility to perform to a high standard under pressureHighest level of integrity and proven skills in diplomacy, problem-solving, discretion and confidentiality.Closing Date for Applications: 14th October 2024 (COB)We create a place where people can grow, be their best, be safe, and feel welcome, valued and included.
