Position: IT Helpdesk Support Specialist
Location: Simi Valley
Pay: 49-55K per year
Status: Temp to Hire
Our client is a major manufacturer of inkjet printers and other kinds of printing technology. They also deal with ink, toner and other add-ons for prints as well. We are searching for a bright and diligent IT Support Specialist to join our clients IT team, as they see to grow their location in Simi Valley.
As the IT Support Specialist, you will be joining a team to provide general IT support to our clients employee base, making sure projects are completed, and help implement other IT initiatives.
You will also:
Receive helpdesk tickets for support requests, analyze the problem, and provide solutions
Manage the Ticket queue
Support the VOIP phone systems, and ensure the phones are working.
Make sure that all IT requests are completed promptly
Occasionally work with other IT specialists on more system-wide IT projects, which can include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems in the office.
Helping new employees get onboarded into the system on the IT end and helping to set up their new computers.
Help maintain other hardware such as printers, copiers, and scanners. You will find yourself talking with the vendors on more advanced requests.
Maintain the AV equipment in the conference room
Audit the IT systems and see where you can make improvements
Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for any new IT procedures
Other tasks as needed
Keep in mind, that you may find yourself working overtime based on the projects you are dealing with.
This is a full time, temp to hire position. First shift, from 8 am to 5 pm.
Finally, once you complete training, our client is open to having this position be a hybrid schedule, of 4 days in the office, and one day remotely.
This is what we will be looking for in your candidacy:
You have at least 2 years of previous experience in IT support in a Windows environment
You have, at least, an associates degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent education and experience
You are experienced with the Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, and MS Teams
You are experienced with LAN/WAN technologies, as well as Routing, Switching, VMWare ESXi, and vCenter applications.
You know Pure and HPE Nimble SAN Storage and Sophos Firewall applications
Preferably, you have experience with the Cisco Meraki wireless network deployment applications
You have strong software skills in MS Office, including MS Visio as well
You can multitask well and can handle multiple projects when needed
You can work overtime if needed
You have a workstation set up at home, so you may be able to work this position on a remote basis.
You have a strong helpdesk and remote support experience
