Job DescriptionJob ID#:4678Job Category:Information TechnologyOur client is looking for a self-driven IT Project Engineer to take ownership of a variety of client-based technology initiatives. This position involves designing and implementing technical solutions across virtualized, cloud, and Microsoft-centric environments. You’ll play a key role in executing projects at client locations and must be comfortable managing tasks independently while delivering an outstanding client experience.This role is based near Albany, NY and involves regular client interaction. Strong oral communication skills and the ability to build professional rapport are essential.Responsibilities of the IT Project Engineer will include:

• Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects from initiation through completion
• Design, implement, and support solutions in virtualized and cloud-based environments
• Work with Microsoft Server platforms, VMware vSphere/vCenter, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Microsoft 365
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 networks, including switches, routers, WAPs, and firewalls
• Develop comprehensive project documentation and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
• Deliver professional support and interface effectively with clients

Job RequirementsQualifications of the IT Project Engineer:

• Active driver’s license and reliable transportation
• MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) and CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certifications
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Server technologies
• At least 3 years’ hands-on experience with VMware and Hyper-V
• Solid background in IP networking with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Proven track record in project planning and technical documentation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
