We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an IT Support Technician in St. Augustine, Florida. As an integral part of our team, you will provide essential support across various technical environments, from desktop and mobile systems to servers. You will also have an opportunity to work with cloud technologies and virtualization, ensuring seamless technology operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for desktop, mobile, and server systems.

  • Systems Management: Manage and support various IT systems, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.

  • Network Infrastructure: Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

  • System Maintenance: Perform regular system updates, patches, and maintenance tasks to prevent issues and ensure security.

  • Log Analysis: Analyze system and error logs to identify and resolve technical problems.

  • Cloud and Virtualization: Assist with the deployment, management, and optimization of cloud services (e.g., AWS) and virtualized environments (e.g., VMware).

  • Security: Implement and enforce IT security protocols and best practices to protect sensitive data.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other IT team members and departments to ensure seamless technology operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Troubleshooting: Expert-level troubleshooting skills, with a strong focus on log analysis.

  • Experience: Proven experience in supporting desktop, mobile, and server environments.

  • Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux operating systems.

  • Networking: Strong understanding of network protocols, infrastructure, and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Cloud and Virtualization: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).

  • Certifications: Advanced certifications and specialized training in IT-related fields (e.g., A+, Security+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco).

  • Skills: Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize effectively.

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with hardware and network cabling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., A+, Security+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco).

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).

  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).

Requirements

• Proficiency in Computer Hardware is required.
