We are hiring for an Italian speaking Finance & Office Assistant to join an international design studio in London. You main responsibility will be to work as part of a vibrant, international team across Europe to manage daily finance and operational responsibilities with their offices in Italy, France, Spain and the UK.Location of the job
London office, remote options 2 days a week. Typical work structure is 3 days a week in the office, 2 days a week remote / work from home option.Language requirements for the job
Fluency in English is essential and also fluency in Italian. Fluency also in French or Spanish is an advantage but not essentialCompany background
Our client is an international award winning design studio that have completed some fantastic design projects across Europe.Job responsibilities of the Italian speaking Finance & Office Assistant
As their Italian speaking Finance & Office Assistant, you will work with an international, fast pace and dynamic team, mostly managing daily finance operations with their offices in Italy, France and Spain as well as day to -day office operations requirements.You role will typically include the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage daily bookkeeping and purchase ledger activities for the international studios, mostly Italy and the UK, including processing invoices, liaising with creditors and suppliers and completing monthly pay run
  • Help to create fee estimates for new projects, budget tracking and invoicing
  • Working with the UK accountant on payroll
  • Update and manage payroll and HR record
  • Assisting with onboarding of new staff
  • Coordinate health and safety guide and ensure all policies are up to date for each studio office
  • Support the teams and directors with other duties when required (such as PA support to the directors, maintaining a well-organised studio environment, answering the phone, receiving and distributing post and deliveries)
  • Contribute to the coordination of Quality Insurance for the UK and Italian offices
  • Opportunities to work with the Paris and Milan teams with potential for travel and working from other offices

The successful candidate background

  • Fluency in English and Italian. Fluency also in French or Spanish is an advantage but not essential
  • Previous experiences as a finance assistant or bookkeeper or similar accounts role / purchase ledger experience
  • Strong Excel skills and good MS Word skills are essential
  • Experience of accounting software is highly desirable
  • Experience of working in a design studio or architectural practice or design environment would be advantageous
  • Display excellent levels of enthusiasm, initiative, interest in the job and team work

Salary, benefits and working hours
£28,000 – £35,000 negotiable.
