The company has headquarters in Chicago (Bel Brands USA) and New York City (GoGo Squeez) and operates 5 manufacturing plants in Little Chute, WI; Leitchfield, KY; Brookings, SD; Traverse City, MI; and Nampa, ID.Job Summary:As an Ixapak Operator for Materne, North America located in Traverse City, MI you will be responsible for the operation of machinery on our high speed production and food processing lines.Hiring Bonus Terms:
- Hiring Bonus is for $1,000 dollars
- Employees must be employed at the time of payout
- Hiring bonus is paid out in two separate installments; $500 at 90 days and $500 at 180 days for a total of $1000.00 dollars.
Position Responsibilities:Ixapak
- Operation of Ixapak machine in a high speed manufacturing environment
- Work with computer interface to monitor and start/stop equipmentReset robotic arm positions after line shut down
- Load materials into Ixapak machine
- Set machine to increase / decrease number of pouches selected for different size packaging sleeves
- Understand mechanical operation to adjust and manipulate Ixapak machine
- Break down machinery with hand tools to clean and sanitize
- Observe materials to identify contamination or foreign materials
- Inspect pouches for uniformity and quality
- Detect equipment problems and troubleshoot
- Document tracking sheets for machine efficiency and downtime
- Operate industrial carts, power hand carts
Physical Requirements:Must be able to stand for an entire shift (8-12+ hours)
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.Education:High School diploma or GED preferred
Technical / Trade School preferredExperience:Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience working in the food industry is a plusSkills:Strong attention to detail
Mechanical aptitude
Computer skills
Basic Math skills
