The primary location for this role is in Cochrane, Alberta. Travelling to various job sites may be required.As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems with the technical services team under a TS Manager. You will interpret blueprints, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards.ResponsibilitiesDuties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:· Interpreting various electrical drawings (single line, schematics, loop drawings)· Troubleshooting power circuitry (various types of motor starters, motors, UPS systems, backup generators, lighting, and receptacles)· Determining faults with control circuitry (relays, switches, floats, transmitters)· Maintaining and repairing damaged equipment in MCCs, breaker panels, and control panels· Having an intermediate understanding of PLCs and their operation· Completing electrical work according to CEC and manufacturer recommendations· Adapting to work in various environments (outdoors, indoors, at heights)· Assisting plant operators and other service crew members as requiredMandatory Requirements· Valid certification as an electrician· Ability to complete electrical work in compliance with CEC standards· Capability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision· Strong written and verbal communication skills· Willingness to respond to after-hour call-outs if neededBenefitsAdditional pay: Overtime pay, on-callBenefits:· Life & Health insurance: medical, dental, and vision coverage· Virtual medical & mental health support platform· Matching RRSP· Paid time off· Relocation assistance· Paid training and career development· Company truck for regular routes and on-call· Annual safety boots allowanceWe thank all applicants in advance for their interest, but Aquatech Canadian Water Services Inc. will contact only those to be interviewed.Job locationJob locationAlberta, CalgaryApplicant criteriaMinimum level of education required6- OthersMinimum level of experience required7 months to 2 yearsLanguagesEnglish (2- Business fluent)
