The Pricing Analytics team contributes to all major areas of the Pricing Platform. We provide analytical insights for our commercial stakeholders, explore business opportunities with Product and develop solutions together with Applied Science and Engineering.
As a Pricing analyst in the Pricing analytics team, your role will be to create and maintain stable and reliable data pipelines, running and designing experiments, data visualisation for commercial stakeholders, and explorative data analysis to unlock business value. Consequently, you will have a major impact on the overall success of the Pricing Platform and algorithmic price setting at Zalando in general.

You build and maintain dashboards for internal and commercial stakeholder use to allow planning and steering in a meaningful way.
You run and help design assortment based and customer based experiments. You analyse experimental results, create deep dives and share insights in an easy to understand fashion within Pricing Platform and with commercial stakeholders.
You create new tables serving analytic’s needs and maintain for use in the team and without.
You write papers based on data analysis and experiment designed to support commercial decision making.
You write technical documentation for data products and algorithms.
You communicate complex analyses and explain Pricing KPIs outside of pricing and support non-pricing teams in the use of Pricing data assets.
Proficiency skills in Python (or R), SQL, and git. Microstrategy (or other dashboarding solutions) or dbt knowledge would be an advantage. You are able to set up data pipelines that connect to large and complex datasets.
Work experience in pricing, online retail, finance or related fields is an advantage
You have a strong analytics and business background.
Experience with designing, running, or analysing experiments is an advantage
Practical experience with the application of machine learning models or advanced statistical models is an advantage
A degree (Bachelor and/or Master) in Econometrics, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Social Sciences, Engineering, or its equivalent.
Ability to effectively drive projects end-to-end and comfortably manage many stakeholders with different interests.
Ability to switch between projects and context in a flexible way and prioritise work given guidance
Self-driven and result-oriented, you have a hands-on mentality and enjoy working independently as well as in a team.
You are an analytical thinker with impressive problem solving skills and critical mindset and the ability to improvise
Great communication skills, you are well structured.
