A Day in the Life at hazelWhat you’ll be doing…Reporting to the Executive Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef, you can expect your working day to include the following duties.

• Assist the Senior Sous Chef and Head Chef in all areas of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Work closely on menu development and execution, ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation.
• Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently during service, maintaining top standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
• Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring they are managed effectively.
• Utilise the learning and development opportunities offered to improve your cooking skills and culinary knowledge.

The successful applicant for this role will deliver excellent customer service, have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, be willing to learn and show that they care.What we need from you!To succeed in the role of Junior Sous Chef you will need the following qualities and skills.

• The ability to adhering to the company’s rules and regulations on policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health & safety, and licensing regulations
• The ability to manage various sections of the kitchen, whilst ensuring health & safety standards are met
• Prior experience in a similar role within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
• A genuine passion for food and creativity, with a strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Outstanding communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
