• This Lab Tech will responsible to work independently and will run the lab with the lab manager when they’re available. They use a lot of unique instrumentation that most candidate will not be familiar with. Instruments used in the flour industry solely. Essential Responsibilities:This Lab Technician will be working with the quality team to perform laboratory analysis and QA/QC checks required refinery analysis. The job responsibilities will be as follows:

• Running lab instrumentation for corn milling
• Conduct laboratory tests and analyze data for a variety of purposes, such as production, pollution control, quality control, and minor research
• Test and analyze products, such as feed, beverage and industrial alcohol, to determine if product meets plant specifications prior to release
• Release in spec vessels and report out of spec vessels
• Test and analyze production samples, such as fermenters, beerstills, rectifiers, etc., and report uncharacteristic results
• Document results of tests, readings, etc. in logbooks and in TLC (Total Lab Client)
• Complete certificates of analysis
• Prepare chemical solutions for use in lab
• Maintain and calibrate all lab equipment and related field instrumentation
• Maintains awareness and adheres to all FDA, GMP, TTB, USP, EPA, OSHA and employer standards and guidelines
• Support and comply with all food safety, quality, and legality requirements
• Detailed documentation of lab results to relay to manufacturing
• Escalate any findings to follow quality protocols
