The Opportunity:Avantor is looking for a Lab Technician (20 hours per week) – to join our team at Kingston Upon Hull, East Yorkshire on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for receiving, replenishing, and distributing laboratory consumables, chemicals, and PPE, as well as managing inventory. No weekend (Overtime available)The teamYou will be part of a close-knit team of two associates, working together in a phenomenal group atmosphere. This team is part of our Lab and Production Services department, which supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories worldwide.What we’re looking for

• Education: Minimum of GCSE or equivalent; A-level or Degree is a plus.
• Experience: Preferably experienced in a lab environment.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of SAP/E-Lims or similar is a bonus.
• Communication: Strong English communication skills.

• Manage waste and clean laboratory equipment and facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance and performance checks on equipment.
• Maintain accurate written records of work by GMP regulations.
• Ensure all laboratory procedures and personnel comply with Health & Safety Guidelines, especially COSHH, Biological Safety Regulations, and the Health & Safety.
