Forbes Bros is seeking an experienced Lane Closure Technician (Full-Time, Permanent) to support our operations in Surrey, BC.Working under the general supervision of the Foreman, the Lane Closure Technician is responsible for directing the setting up, removing and maintaining traffic control in work zones.Forbes Bros has a family-oriented culture that focuses on flexibility, communication, growth & respect in the workplace. Key Responsibilities:

• Directing drivers, pedestrians, and workers to safe routes around road construction sites
• Assist in accessing and exiting work sites and reporting to questions
• Assist with set up and maintenance of project signage and barricades including daily barricade reports
• Protect workers by keeping work space free of traffic and warning them of approaching hazards
• Setting up and providing traffic control specifications
• Reviewing traffic management plans
• Training other site workers about traffic and equipment safety
• Performing other assigned duties as required.

What We Are Looking For:

• Two (2) + years of Traffic Control experience
• One (1) year of experience as a Lane Closure Technician
• Hold a valid TCP certification
• Ability to learn new skills and take on additional tasks as required
• Possess a Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
