Lead Analyst, Credit (New Account Profitability & Analytics)Working at our iconic office in King’s Cross, London, and virtually via Microsoft TeamsYour new role at NewDayIn this high-profile role, you will lead on strategy development and optimisation across a range of new customer commercial strategies that are critical to the delivery of NewDay P&L outcomes.You will be the commercial lead across several strategies including New Customer Pricing, Conversion & Profitability, working alongside Product, Marketing & Credit Risk teams to ensure NewDay achieves its commercial objectives.The position includes end-to-end responsibility for driving profitability of NewDay’s originations: from commercial analytics, effective performance monitoring and financial planning through to data targeting and implementation.In 0-12 months you’ll deliver

  • The new accounts and spend roadmap, working with the acquisition marketing team to define and measure against operating plan.
  • Pricing strategies to improve new account growth and yield.
  • Modelling RoA/NPV impacts of initiatives, underwriting changes and new credit products to inform business strategy and outlook.
  • Analytical/insight for commercial strategy & analytics including coaching and mentoring junior team members.
  • Complex projects (with Change & Delivery team) and ensure full delivery in a timely manner with the appropriate quality, cost control & commercial impact.

What you’ll bringWe need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

  • Quantitative analytical skills within Financial Services.
  • SQL/Excel with experience of manipulating complex data to generate insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to present findings & analysis in a structured way, particularly when addressing a non-expert audience.
  • Having a collaborative operating style with ability and mind-set to get stuck in and support wider team objectives.
  • Planning and change ownership, proven capability to deliver complex projects.

  • Consumer lending products (cards / loans / mortgages) and the regulatory environment they operate in.
  • How to lead delivery of complex change in financial services.
