Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant – Cyber Security Coordinator
In this role, you will be responsible to oversee and coordinate the processes and activities related to identifying, evaluating, prioritizing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities in the environment.
Responsibilities
• Primarily serves as coordinator for Vulnerability Management program.
• Monitor and evaluate reports from vulnerability scanning tools and Analyzing and interpreting security scan results to prioritize and address vulnerabilities. Help identify vulnerabilities for targeted remediation per prioritization guidelines and as identified in IVM tool of choice.
• Prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity, potential impact, and exploitability by coordinating with security team.
• Help notify, coordinate with Technical custodial and application support team on remediation.
• Coordinating with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, developers, and system administrators, to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to explain appropriate actions.
• Generate detailed reports on the status of vulnerabilities and remediation efforts.
• Publish them Weekly & Monthly in Governance calls.
• Contributing to security audits and compliance activities by providing any data as requested
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Good experience in cybersecurity or related fields (L2 level).
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint protection systems.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar) and vulnerability management platforms (e.g., Rapid7, Qualys, Nessus).
• Knowledge of network security principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.).
• Familiarity with compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS).
• Incident response and forensic investigation experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Preferred certifications include:
o CompTIA Security+
o Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
o CISSP (Associate level or working towards it)
o Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and support.
