This role is part of our Personalised Content team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients including eBay, Ancestry, Walmart, and more! 

JOB PURPOSE

Our Merchandising team partners with eBay to produce a range of tailored shopping experiences.

As client facing Lead Merchandiser, you will coordinate a team to deliver promotional and seasonal campaigns in-line with eBay’s UK trading strategy, specifically across Fashion and Luxury categories. Being one of two Lead Merchandisers, you will form part of the Merchandising department’s senior team and will be responsible for optimising ways of working, mentoring other members of the team and maintaining excellence across the board. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent merchandising on eBay’s multi-stakeholder, strategic campaigns
  • Working closely with marketing, strategy and trading teams to execute and curate the onsite experience 
  • Supporting senior merchandisers to manage client briefs from start to finish, supporting inventory planning, wireframing, campaign and events builds and QA-ing
  • Drive best buyer experience on all onsite executions, acting as the point of approval for wireframes produced by other merchandisers
  • Ensure all campaigns are prioritised consistently across desktop, mobile and email platforms
  • Conduct competitor analysis and trend research 
  • Regular, in-depth performance analysis and presenting insights to the wider eBay teams
  • Supporting eBay’s weekly business as usual activity and coordinating activity internally 
  • Create and maintain a critical path for campaigns and other category specific activity
  • Support the Senior Account Director with managing resource & scope
  • Develop, optimise and execute both internal and client processes
  • 3-4 mid-weight and senior merchandisers will report into you

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum of 5 years Merchandising experience, ideally within E-Commerce.
  • Experience in building and managing a team
  • Deep understanding of the e-commerce landscape, able to identify opportunities and trends using data and insights
  • You are ambitious and a strategic thinker
  • A good eye for style and retail trends and an interest in current and upcoming trends.
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to take ownership and accountability
  • Experience with various CMS and the ability to quickly grasp new processes or learn new tools. 
  • Analytical experience and a degree of business acumen
