We are responsible for leading the design, development, and renewal of leading non-credit, open enrolment courses and certificate programs as well as customized training solutions that align with industry and changes in the workplace. We strive to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate courses, certificates, and programs that are learner-centric and respond to the unique needs of busy adults
seeking to achieve a wide variety of life and learning goals as part of their lifelong learning journey. Furthermore, we are committed to ensuring our over
800 instructors provide an environment where theory and practice intersect, and new skills can develop. The Learning Innovation team maximizes
innovation and quality in leading the Division’s digital learning initiatives and delivery of online learning support services in support of effective teaching
and learning. We are at the forefront of educational technology initiatives, revolutionizing the learning experience through innovative and cutting-edge
solutions.Your opportunity:Under the general supervision of the Director Learning Innovation and in collaboration with the School’s Program Directors, program development staff, instructors, and course developers/subject matter experts, you advise on the pedagogically and andragogical sound design, development, and evaluation of courses and programs using the School’s instructional design methodology and course delivery infrastructure to ensure learners have access to effective and engaging learning experiences.You will provide guidance and support in the development of cross-departmental strategic initiatives. You will stay well-informed of the use of academic and collaborative technologies by drawing upon, leveraging and contributing to the development of understanding and practice in the field through engagement with conferences, workshops, research, events, and other teams across the University as well as facilitating training sessions with staff and instructors on instructional strategies and learning technology innovations.Must be available to work outside regular University hours as required, to accommodate meetings with course developers /subject matter experts and instructors.This role is currently eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, pursuant to University policies and guidelines, including but not limited to the .Your responsibilities will include:
