The position develops, implements and evaluates activities and programs that convey information to new students and their families about TRU programs and services in order to support student’s personal, academic and social adjustment to the institution. The Learning Strategist, Orientation & Transition works in strong collaboration across the Faculty of Student Development team to both lead and support teams of student staff and volunteers and works independently to complete assigned duties. Special project work to support student success and retention, as assigned, is an important part of the position, and this position is accountable for coordinating projects to completion. Workloads may fluctuate and alter to meet the demands and needs of students.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Develops and coordinates innovative and responsive programs and services such as TRU Orientation, transitions programming, that align with both the Faculty of Student Development and TRU’s Strategic Plan goals.

WORKING CONDITIONS
