We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team, focusing on providing exceptional support for students with learning difficulties. There are a variety of students who require additional support, some conditions include but are not limited to:– Non-Verbal / Speech Delay– Visual Impairment– Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)– Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)The role includes but is not limited to:– Provide personalized support by adapting your approach to meet the specific needs of students facing behavioural challenges.– Utilize your expertise in behavioural intervention to turn challenges into opportunities for growth, implementing effective strategies and reinforcing positive behaviours.– Build positive and trusting relationships with students, acting as a mentor and friend in a safe and nurturing environment.– Emphasize communication by collaborating seamlessly with teachers, parents, and professionals to ensure a comprehensive support system for each student.– Lead the implementation of individualized education and behaviour plans, contributing to the success and progress of our students.– Foster a sense of belonging by promoting the inclusion of students in the broader classroom community, supporting their social interactions, and facilitating participation in group activities.THE IDEAL CANDIDATEü Play an active and valued role in a young person’s education under the teacher’s guidanceü Support the teacher in adjusting the curriculum to pupils’ individual needsü Have a real say in the way in which a young person is educatedü Have access to information, advice and support during assessment and any related decision making about special educational provision.ü Work in partnership with other services, including the voluntary sectorü Ensure young person is consulted at all stagesü Recognise the potential stress of assessment and review arrangementsü Ensure that young people understand the role o
