Job Description:Grade UE06: £33,882 to £39,105 per annum, pro-rata for part-timeCAHSS / Edinburgh College of Art / ITTSPart-time: 14 hours per week (0.4 FTE)Fixed-term contract:12 monthsThe Opportunity:We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Learning Technologist to join our team at Edinburgh College of Art on a part-time basis. Working as part of the Information, Technical and Technology Services team you will support colleagues to make effective use of technology in their teaching, through support for learning design, course creation, and the effective use of a broad suite of tools and technologies.This post is part-time for 0.4 FTE (14 hours / 2 days per week) and fixed-term for 12 months. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Experience supporting users to make the most of virtual learning environments and associated TEL tools.
  • Experience of developing, and supporting the development of, courses delivered through a variety of modalities.
  • Ability to quickly learn to use new tools and interfaces effectively and to liaise effectively with technology support and administrative staff to secure enhancements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to explain technical issues to a variety of users.
  • Experience with Blackboard Learn Ultra is desirable.
