They partner with data scientists, data engineers, and product managers to create cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions with legal data. Data Discovery and Enrichment Experts provide annotation, evaluation, and feedback to their partners which are critical to the development of these solutions. Examples of the innovative AI initiatives that the Data Discovery and Enrichment Organisation works on can be found here:About the RoleThis is a full-time hybrid or remote role.As a Data Discovery and Enrichment Expert II, you will use your legal knowledge and experience to create insights and recommendations that are critical to creating the best features and products for our customers. You will start by working closely with senior team members and, as you progress, begin to work independently on projects with increasing complexity.You will develop an understanding of best practices for creating training data and evaluating output of AI models, and will execute projects with limited oversight from others.Knowledge of machine learning and AI is desirable, but less essential than interest, legal experience and aptitude.ResponsibilitiesPerforming legal research and analysisCommunicating actionable feedback and insightsExecuting best practices in the creation and maintenance of training data and relevance evaluations.Advocating for Responsible AIProviding support to Data Discovery and Enrichment LeadsParticipating in presentations to internal stakeholders and working with cross-jurisdictional teamsRequirementsStrong academics, including LLB/PGDL or equivalentQualification and experience in practice desirableExcellent legal research and writing skillsAbility to collaborate with a team to advance projectsBasic knowledge or interest in machine learning and natural language processing technologiesUnderstanding of agile and lean methodologiesProficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other similar programsWork in a Way That Works for YouWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation, with various flexible and remote working options available to employees.Working with UsLexisNexis Legal & Professional is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
