Job Title – Liability Claims HandlerJob Market – Insurance Claims – EL/PL / Liability / PropertyLiability Claims Handler – About the roleMy client are looking to recruit an experienced Liability Claims Handler to join their growing Casualty team. This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate working as part of a dedicated team providing a first-class proactive claims handling service to major clients.Liability Claims Handler – Key dutiesLiaison with Insurers, Policyholders and BrokersInvestigation of allocated claims from the desk, or via referral to a field adjuster for site investigation where appropriateObtaining all necessary evidence and relevant documentationDetermining appropriate actions for the resolution of the casePreparation of detailed reports, where required, providing advice on policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tacticsNegotiating settlement where appropriate, within agreed authority limitsCorresponding with all parties professionally to proactively progress the case to conclusionHandling all cases in accordance with the client’s requirements by referral to documented procedures at all timesMaintaining a proper reserve at all times by regular reviewKeeping updated on any technical changes relevant to your role.
