As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Perimeter Behavioral Health, you’ll play a vital role in providing
compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in our behavioral health setting. This position
combines clinical expertise with therapeutic engagement to support our patients’ recovery journey.Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
 Deliver comprehensive nursing care to behavioral health patients
 Administer medications according to prescribed orders
 Maintain accurate and timely documentation in MARs
 Monitor and assess patient conditions
 Implement individual care plans
 Coordinate with healthcare team members
 Provide nursing group as neededTherapeutic Support
 Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients
 Model and teach life skills for independent living
 Provide de-escalation interventions when needed
 Support patients in crisis situations
 Create a safe and therapeutic environmentProfessional Collaboration
 Maintain professional communication with physicians
 Participate in treatment team meetings
 Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team
 Contribute to care planning and assessment
 Mentor and support nursing team membersRequired Qualifications
 Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Missouri or eligible compact state
 Current CPR certification
 Strong assessment and documentation skills
 Excellent communication abilities
 Crisis intervention capabilitiesPreferred Qualifications
 One year behavioral health nursing experience preferred
 Psychiatric nursing background
 Experience with children and adolescents preferred
 Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
 Knowledge of behavioral health medications
 CPI or Handle with Care upon hireProfessional Competencies
