Live in or Live out All rounder job, GloucestershireOur lovely returning clients are for someone looking to hire someone for an interesting varied and active role located between Cirencester and Tetbury for a modern and down-to-earth family. The family consists of mum and dad who both work, (mum from home) and their two boys who are young teenagers (13 and 14). This role will really evolve as the children get older gradually taking on more house management and PA-related duties.Both boys will board c.4 nights per week from September 2025 at a school 40 minutes away. Completing the family are their two beloved Miniature dachshunds. The family need someone who can organise, oversee and keep up with two active and fun-loving young teenagers when they are home and their school admin. In addition, help with the running of the household and keeping up with the family’s very busy schedules.The family employ a cleaner who comes twice a week, whom you will need to liaise with therefore with regards to housekeeping it is mostly Laundry, ironing, light cleaning/tidying duties and organisation of the house that you would be responsible for. Mum and Dad have instilled good morals in their children by teaching them to be responsible for keeping their rooms clean and picking up after themselves. They hope you will continue this practice. This role is an all-rounder role you will be an integral part of their family, managing family life and the home.Duties:

  • Driving the children to and from school. The usual routine would be an early morning drop off on a Monday, picking them up on a Wednesday and taking them back to school early on a Thursday morning .
  • Accompanying the children to any medical/dental appointments, making sure the boys have all they need for school activities for the week and weekends.
  • Assisting the children with their homework, school projects and instrument practice, and helping keep them organised and entertained in the holidays.
  • Preparing nutritious but simple dinners for the children and parents assisting children with their breakfast when they are there.
  • Care for their dogs (including daily walks)
  • Housesitting and pet sitting when the family are away unless you are taking your own vacation during this time, when the family will use external staff to cover.
  • Performing light housework activities such as tidying, laundry, and ironing.
  • House management duties such as organising contractors, getting quotes & paying staff members (cleaner/handyman/gardeners) and tradesmen, and logging any household faults. For this property and their other properties.
  • PA duties for the family and for mum’s business such as organising & booking international flights and transfers for the family and organising weekly grocery shopping.
  • Ad hoc duties such as collecting prescriptions, sending parcels and other general errands.
  • Maintaining a complete schedule for both the children and parents to coordinate social events, sports fixtures, music practice and parent’s evenings.
  • Promoting good behaviour by using the positive reinforcement approach and working with parents to develop and implement discipline programs to promote positive behaviour.

The ideal person will be a self-starter, switched on and tech-savvy. You need to be responsive and able to communicate on email, What’s App and confident to use Microsoft Outlook ensuring the events are booked into the family’s diaries. A confident driver (an automatic car will be provided). Someone who is a quietly confident professional with tons of initiative lots of common sense and amazing time management and organisational skills. Attention to detail will be important. The role will suit someone who is upbeat and active.
