Certified Medical AssistantSeymour, TN – Primary Care Clinic – Half day Friday!✮ Job Description ✮This role involves a variety of patient care duties, including lab draws, RX verification, appointment follow-up, and occasional scheduling. You will also be responsible for maintaining patient charts, coordinating appointments, and assisting with patient-related matters over the phone.✮ Responsibilities ✮

• Primarily responsible for lab draws for all patients
• Serve patients over the phone with RX verification and appointment follow-up
• Occasional scheduling tasks
• Prepare and maintain patient charts including insurance, registration, correspondence, laboratory and radiology reports
• Track and request patient records, slides, and films; document as necessary in the charts
• Schedule and coordinate appointments, scans, and tests; confirm appointments; notify appropriate departments of daily and weekly patient schedules
• Receive incoming calls to assist patients, physicians, and others with patient-related matters
• Relay diagnostic test results to patients per physician’s discretion
• Conduct follow-up phone calls to patients with problems and ‘no-shows’
• Perform BP, TPR, and weight measurements on each patient; alert physician of abnormalities
• Perform medical history on each patient prior to being seen by physician
• Maintain medical supplies in each exam room and office supplies in clerical areas

✮ Qualifications ✮

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
• Experience with patient scheduling and medical record maintenance

✮ Shift ✮Monday-Thursday 8:00A-5:00P & Friday 8A-12PPay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 – $28.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
